Former Johnny Depp Vanessa Paradis goes grocery

Former Johnny Depp Vanessa Paradis was seen shopping for groceries in Studio City, California on Wednesday, amid the actor’s ongoing libel trial in Virginia against his ex-wife Amber Heard.

The 49-year-old model actress wore a navy blue coat with a floral pattern over a white T-shirt with Rolling Stones tour graphics. She completes her ensemble with blue jeans with brown boots and wears a pair of dark sunglasses with brown frames.

Paradis, who is a mother of two with Depp, 58 – Lily -Rose Depp, 22, and Jack Depp, 20 – had pulled out her chocolate locks and brought coffee with a blue shopping bag on a spring day in Southern California.

The French -born paradise had previously shown his support for Depp during his defamation trial against The U.K. Sun – for calling him a ‘wife beater’ – who was dismissed in November 2020.

In July 2020, Paradis issued a statement to the U.K. court. that the behavior she saw from the actor, who had been married to her from 1998 to 2012, did not match the allegations made by Heard, 35.

‘I’ve known Johnny for over 25 years,’ Paradis said. “We have been partners for 14 years and we raised our two children together. Over the years I have known Johnny as a kind, caring, generous and non-violent man and father.

‘On the set of the film, the actors, the director and the whole crew adored him because he was humble and respectful of everyone, as well as being one of the best actors we’ve ever seen.’

He continued: ‘I am aware of the allegations that Amber Heard has been publicly accusing Johnny of for over four years now. This is not like the real Johnny I know, and from my personal experience over the years, I can say he has never been violent or abusive to me. ‘

Paradis said that the ‘outrageous statements’ made by Heard had been ‘extremely sad,’ and had had a negative impact on Depp’s career ‘because unfortunately people continue to believe these false facts.

‘This is very annoying because he has helped so many people in his personal and professional lives, with kindness and generosity.’

The trial began this week in Fairfax, Virginia with Depp suing Heard over a 2018 article he wrote for The Washington Post in which the Aquaman actress called herself a ‘public figure representing domestic abuse.’

Lawyers for the actress have asked for the trial to be moved to California, where both Depp and Heard live, but the judge ruled that the case is properly located in Virginia, where the newspaper’s online server is based.

Notable names scheduled to testify in the case – which is expected to last for more than a month – include Elon Musk, James Franco and Paul Bettany.
